Good evening ...


Ms Ursula, born in '29, is one of the few writers of Science Fiction revenue Olympus, usually reserved for male authors. Why do I always entangled in these matters pseudo feminists? In addition to being a magician of science fiction is a tube also author of fantasy and that is where my interest is focused.

He won lots of awards and is appreciated internationally for its impeccable technique and ability to narrate alternate worlds where they live emotionally rich characters (whether human or not).

I came to the attention of this author looking Tales from Earthsea of Goro Miyazaki (son of the great teacher), I investigated a little 'and after about 3 years, I decided that I must read for all the good cycle Earthsea from which the film is more or less tract.
Many years have passed, I know, but for one reason or another, I shelved the megavolume de: The Legend of Earthsea. That is, until recently, when I decided to make the homeless and started to read the book to the Feltrinelli ... :)

Maybe read the whole bundle together is not un'ideona, I'm afraid finally become so heavy and tedious having to give up reading. Maybe it's one of those libroni to read in small doses and to savor slowly.

Only this quote is worth the read:

Tales from Earthsea ( ゲド 戦記 Gedo Senki ? ) is a Japanese animated film written and directed by Goro Miyazaki (and produced by Studio Ghibli. Loosely based on the novels Island and dragon The winds of Earthsea Ursula K the writer in the U.S. . Le Guin, was screened for the first time in theaters July 29th 2006, Japanese and Italian ones April 20, 2007.

Hayao Miyazaki had asked permission from the author to produce an adaptation of the saga in the early eighties, but he being at that time only known in the West for the animated series Conan Future Boy , this was not granted. But when, a decade later, she saw My Neighbor Totoro, who would become the symbol of Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli, I was struck by the style of the director decides to retrace his steps, and revive her own adaptation of his works

I liked the film, but frankly not having read the book I benchmarks. It is one of my favorite films of Studio Ghibli, but it's still a good movie.
